Joelle P Swanson: Owner/Instructor
Joelle graduated from Dean College in 2010 with her BA in Pedagogy of Dance. While at Dean Joelle studied Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz and Hip Hop. Joelle offers a comprehensive dance experience for her students having studied Anatomy, Kinesiology, Creative Movement, Pedagogy, Dance Composition and Dance History. While at Dean, Joelle studied from a Balanchine protege Jill Silverman along with participating in programs with the Alvin Alley school, NYC and Broadway Dance Center, NYC. Joelle has been a part of the dance world for the past 30 years, performing in such things as the Nutcracker and competing in many different places including Las Vegas; As well as performing at the Patriots Place opening day performance. Joelle has taught for the past 15 years and has delivered award winning choreography in local and National competitions. Joelle also has had several students casted in the Melrose Youth Ballet and Dance Prism Production of The Nutcracker for the past five years along with having students go off to pursue professional dance careers locally and in New York City. Joelle loves to share her knowledge and passion for dance with those who want to learn. Corinne Gabree: Office Manager
Corinne Gabree worked in the financial industry for the past 12 years and began as a bank teller, working face to face with customers. She quickly worked her way up to a back office position in Loan Operations with a focus on excellence in customer service relations via phone and email interactions. She is detail oriented and organized in an office setting and strongly believes prompt and efficient communication is important in any successful business. Corinne grew up attending Joelle’s dance recitals and competitions. Over the years, she has watched Joelle’s knowledge and experience grow into the exceptional dance teacher and studio owner that she is today. Corinne is very excited to have the opportunity to work with Joelle and her students as her business continues to grow Kyla Campbell: Instructor
Kyla, originally from Georgetown, Massachusetts, discovered her passion for dancing at a young age and has been refining her skills since elementary school. Her dedication to the art form led her to pursue a double major at Salem State University, graduating with degrees in Early Childhood Education and Dance, specializing in Hip Hop. Through her unwavering commitment, Kyla achieved the remarkable feat of becoming the first person in the United States to graduate with a degree focused on Hip Hop. Furthermore, she furthered her education by obtaining a master's degree in Education, specializing in working with students with Moderate Disabilities, showcasing her dedication to inclusivity and diversity in education. With her rich background in education and dance, Kyla is gearing up for her 6th year at JNP Dance Academy, where she takes great joy in imparting her extensive knowledge and passion for Hip Hop culture to her students. She looks forward to expanding and enhancing the Hip Hop programs at JNP, eager to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers. Jordan Roberts: Instructor
Jordan graduated from Roger Williams University in 2022 with her BA in Dance & Performance Studies with a focus in modern/contemporary and choreography. While in undergrad, she danced with RWU’s repertory Dance Theatre Company- performing in as well as choreographing many works for the company. Jordan has been dancing for 20 years and has trained under numerous intensives and professionals including Bates Dance Festival, Joffrey Ballet School, Sean Curran of Sean Curran Dance Company, Christina Robson of the Bill T. Jones Company, and Mary Ellen Boudreau of Pilobolus Dance Company. Jordan’s passion for dance lies prominently in choreography and improvisational practices, as well as kinesiology and dance history; all of which she incorporates into her dance pedagogy. She is thrilled to be working with the students at JNP as their contemporary instructor & choreographer! Jessica Wright-Ciulla: Instructor
Jessica has been dancing since she was nine years old. She grew up studying at Dance, Etc in Middleton, MA, where she was a member of the competitive Dance Etc Performance Troupe for several years, as well as an assistant teacher until graduating high school. She was also a co-captain of the Danvers High School Dance Team in 2007. She graduated from Salem State University in 2011 with a major in English and a minor in Dance. There, she was a member of the Salem Dance Ensemble, as well as a choreographer and dancer with their Repertory Dance Theater. She taught dance classes of all styles for 9 years, before taking a small hiatus to focus on being a stay at home mom to her three kids, Jonah, Phoebe, and Francesca. She is so thrilled to be back teaching dance classes again, and absolutely loves the JNP Dance Academy family! |
