JNP Dance Academy Policies and Procedures

Registration: Class space is reserved for you for the 2020-2021 school year once your registration form has been received and processed.

Tuition: Tuition is due The First of Each Month regardless of when your first class of the month falls. JNP Dance Academy does not mail out reminders or bills for tuition. As a courtesy to our customers, a grace period is extended through the 5th of each month and after the 5th, a $10 late fee will be assessed to any tuition received late beginning on the 6th of the month. If late tuition is received without the late fee included, the late fee will be added to the following month’s tuition. Tuition rate is constant: some months have less than four weeks and others five. The tuition does not change. Also the tuition amount does not change if the student is absent. JNP Dance Academy charges a $30 fee for returned checks.

Absences: Tuition must be paid for all scheduled classes; whether or not the student is in attendance. It is the student and parent’s responsibility to attend a make-up class if desired. Tuition is not returned for lessons not fulfilled. If it is necessary for a student to be excessively absent, other arrangements may need to be made with the owner. As payment is still due, for some rare circumstances it may be preferable to withdraw student and re-enroll at a later date.

Withdrawal: If a student needs to withdraw, JNP Dance Academy requires notification prior to the first of the preceding month or tuition is due for that month. If a student misses more than 2 weeks or tuition is delinquent, JNP Dance Academy reserves the right to withdraw the student from class. Tuition will still be due for all unfulfilled classes. JNP Dance Academy has a zero tolerance policy and expects appropriate behavior from all students, parents, guardians, staff and instructors. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove from class those we feel do not meet these expectations (parents or students). No refunds will be given in this instance.

Studio Closures/Snow Days/Holidays: JNP Dance Academy follows the Salisbury Public School Calendar with regards to holidays and school closures due to snow and other weather related events.

Photo/Video Release: JNP Dance Academy has my permission to use my child’s images for promotional purposes, press releases and on its website. JNP Dance Academy will not associate child’s name with photos without seeking additional permissions. Photos taken by JNP Dance Academy are the property of JNP Dance Academy.

Costumes: JNP Dance Academy will attempt to keep costume costs to a minimum, however, the parent/legal guardian or adult student is responsible for the purchase of recital costumes and therefore will own said costumes. The costume deposit is due by January 8th, 2021. Balance is due in full by April 30th, 2021. If student's account has a balance due for past tuition, late fees, or other charges, the costumes will be kept until account is brought current. If a student must drop or withdraw for lack of payment after costumes have been ordered, the student will be notified when costumes arrive and have 30 days to pick up costume and bring account current. After 30 days, the costume(s) will become the property of JNP Dance Academy. NO REFUNDS are given for costumes.

COVID-19 GUIDELINES/REGULATIONS:
  • 10 people in the studio at a time: Only the students participating and the JNP staff will be able to be in the studio.
  • Drop-off and pick-up: We will have one way traffic through the studio. Upon arrival we ask you enter through the lower level door and follow the arrows. After your child is situated at their assigned seat we kindly ask the parents to follow the arrows out the door on the second level. For pickup we ask you to arrive no sooner than 5 minutes until the end of class and wait at your child’s assigned seat. We do ask only 1 person drop off and pick up your child. **We are willing to do assisted curbside drop off and pick up. If you are interested in this options just let me know**
  • Seats in the waiting room are spaced 6 feet apart: Kids will have assigned seats and be instructed to put their things under that chair and be seated until we are ready to go into the dance room. **We will not be using the cubbies.**
  • Marked spots in the dance room (6 feet apart): Students will also have designated spots around the dance room to make sure we can all stay spaced out from one another.
  • Washing/sanitizing hands upon arrival and before departure: We now have hand sanitizer dispensers in every room/level of the studio. We will also be encouraging the kids to wash their hands frequently.
  • We will not be requiring masks to be worn. Due to the controversial views on the dangers of wearing a mask restricting proper air flow (especially in younger kids) during exercise, face masks are not required but of course we do respect the choice of each family if one should choose to have your child wear a mask. We will have masks available at the studio for anyone who might want/need one. The JNP staff will also wear a mask if we are within 6 feet of your child at any point.
  • Sanitizing and disinfecting the studio before the arrival of students and after the students leave each day: Please be assured that we are taking this very serious and all JNP staff will be wiping down/ disinfecting all surfaces throughout the day.
  • A deep clean will be done every weekend before the arrival of a new group: The positive side to having weekly camps is that the volume of foot traffic is very minimal since it is the same group of kids all week. Which then we will have the weekend to do a deep clean and be ready for a fresh clean start with the new group!
