JNP Dance Academy Policies and Procedures

Registration: Class space is reserved for you for the 2023-2024 school year once your registration form has been received and processed.

​Tuition: Monthly tuition is a flat monthly fee based on a 4 week/month average which evens out throughout the course of the year, as there are some months throughout the year that have class for 3 weeks, and others that have class for 5 weeks.
​Monthly tuition statements are sent on the 25th of each month for the following month of classes via the parent portal. Tuition payments are due by the 1st of the month. Available payment options include: debit/credit card, check, cash, Venmo or PayPal. It is our new policy to hold a valid debit/credit card number on file, regardless of the payment method you use.

• If you prefer automatic payment, we will charge the card on file on the 1st of the month.
• If you prefer a different payment method, payments are due before the 1st of the month.
• If we haven’t received a payment by the 1st of the month, we will charge the card on file.

Absences: Tuition must be paid for all scheduled classes; whether or not the student is in attendance. It is the student and parent’s responsibility to attend a make-up class if desired. Tuition is not returned for lessons not fulfilled. If it is necessary for a student to be excessively absent, other arrangements may need to be made with the owner. In some rare circumstances, it may be preferable for the student to withdraw and re-enroll at a later date.

Withdrawal: If a student needs to withdraw, JNP Dance Academy requires notification prior to the 25th of the month if the student will not be returning the following month. If a student misses more than 2 weeks or tuition is delinquent, JNP Dance Academy reserves the right to withdraw the student from class. Tuition will still be due for all unfulfilled classes. JNP Dance Academy has a zero tolerance policy and expects appropriate behavior from all students, parents, guardians, staff and instructors. We reserve the right to refuse service or remove those from class who we feel do not meet these expectations. No refunds will be given in this instance.

Studio Closures/Snow Days/Holidays: JNP Dance Academy follows the Salisbury Public School Calendar with regards to school breaks and school closures due to snow and other weather related events. Please note: classes will still be in session on Monday holidays.

Photo/Video Release: JNP Dance Academy has my permission to use my child’s images for promotional purposes, press releases and on its website. JNP Dance Academy will not associate child’s name with photos without seeking additional permissions. Photos taken by JNP Dance Academy are the property of JNP Dance Academy.

Costumes: Each year, JNP Dance Academy puts on a show in December and a recital in June. These require the purchase of costumes and we do our best to keep costume costs to a minimum. It is the responsibility of the parent/legal guardian or adult student to pay for recital costumes and they will own their costumes. The costume deposit is due by January 1st, 2023. Balance is due in full by March 1st, 2023. If a student's account has a balance due for past tuition, late fees, or other charges, the costumes will be kept by the studio until the account is brought current. If a student is asked to drop or withdraw for lack of payment after costumes have been ordered, the student will be notified when costumes arrive and have 30 days to pick up the costumes and bring their account current. After 30 days, the costume(s) will become the property of JNP Dance Academy. NO REFUNDS are given for costumes.
